Organic Roti Flour

Prepare the Dough:

  • Take 1 cup of the organic roti flour in a large mixing bowl.
  • Slowly add warm water and mix to form a soft, pliable dough.
  • Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.

Roll the Rotis:

  • Divide the dough into small, equal-sized balls.
  • Dust the rolling surface and rolling pin with a little flour.
  • Roll each ball into a thin, circular roti.

Cook the Rotis:

  • Heat a tawa (griddle) on medium-high flame.
  • Place the rolled roti on the hot tawa and cook for about 30 seconds or until bubbles form.
  • Flip the roti and cook the other side for another 30 seconds.
  • Flip again and press gently with a spatula until the roti puffs up.
  • Remove from the tawa and keep warm in a covered container.

Serve:

  • Serve hot with your favorite curry, dal, or chutney.

 

#Paratha

Prepare the Dough:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the organic roti flour, chopped vegetables, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, chili powder, grated ginger, and a pinch of salt.
  • Slowly add warm water and mix until it forms a soft, pliable dough.
  • Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.

Roll the Parathas:

  • Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls.
  • Dust the rolling surface with a little flour and roll each ball into a flat, round paratha.

Cook the Parathas:

  • Heat a tawa (griddle) on medium heat.
  • Place the rolled paratha on the hot tawa and cook for about 30 seconds.
  • Flip it and spread a small amount of ghee or oil on the surface.
  • Flip again and cook until both sides are golden brown and slightly crispy.
  • Remove from the tawa and repeat with the remaining dough.

Serve:

  • Serve the parathas hot with yogurt, pickle, or your favorite curry.
